Moscow Mule

Invented 1941 by East Coast spirits distributor John G. Martin of the G.F Heublein Brothers, Inc. and John Morgan, a producer of ginger beer. Morgan was President of Cock’n’Bull Products and the owner of the Cock’n’Bull Tavern, on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles CA.

Moscow Mule:

  • 2oz Vodka
  • 1oz Lime juice
  • 6oz Ginger Ale
  • Ice


Pour and mix all ingredients in a highball glass.  Or if you have a copper cup hanging around, give that a try as well.


You might add a dash of Angostura Bitters for a slight twist.
